mostly useless extension and i just realised right now that it causes lag in previewing thumbnails in the homescreen

No doubt this is the best and well maintained Youtube related extension which is also completely free.

Seems to work however theres no way to resize the playlist its just too small now with 2 songs visible and it focus on the recommends under it.. Maybe a tampermonkey script can fit that instead. its clearly aimed at ads and advertising sites on side over functionality.. google sux at times

Honestly great extension I've been using for years.. And it's free. But Google Chrome hates it. So use Firefox or Brave Browser instead. (Also Brave works with Ublock Origin. So that's a plus.) But if Improved Youtube doesn't work or you want a new feature/button added/removed send a bug report to the devs.. They are very nice and the extension breaking is 99% of the time Youtube adding useless or dumb features/bugs to their own platform. Improved Youtube does their best, but even they aren't omnipotent and can't see into the future what youtube will put out. (or instantly be able to fix it.) But give them time and they will. Also if something breaks on a video, try turning some settings on/off and refreshing the video.. Sometimes it takes some trial and error to fix it. (Tip turn off/on only 1 setting at a time and see what changes.. And move through it. Also you can setup a backup of your settings if you want to quickly restore them if you uninstall/reinstall and/or reset your settings to default. Thank you very much ImprovedYoutube! (also Ad blocking on ImpYou doesn't work at all anymore.. It's been like that for a year or so already. So just disable that setting. Youtube just blocks the video.)

This blocked everything except the video. No comments nothing. Just blank page.

Unhooked hasn't had updates in a bit and things are starting to break. With one click, endcard recommendations were disabled which before installing this extension spoiled a sporting event i planned on watching while working. Great job, thanks for making this!

I've been using this extensions for months now and it's great! I hate so many useless features on youtube and this allows you to disable a lot of them and make using youtube a lot more enjoyable. I wish they could add a feature to filter your subscriptions because I don't care in the slightest about watching past livestreams and there's no way to remove them from being on your subscription list or from showing up on your home page. Thank god I can ban shorts and ai though. I don't use the ad blocking function because I have youtube premium so I keep it all turned off (so yes, this works perfectly fine with youtube premium).

So, let me begin by saying I have YouTube premium for free from my ISP, so I don't use this extension to block ads. Furthermore, I do not use any AdBlock extensions on YT. I do however use this extension for all its tweaking features which were and are good. Lately though I have noticed severe lag on YT, especially in the home page while clicking through each of my subscriptions it will start to come to a crawl. Until I refresh the page, and then after a few subscription clicks it will crawl again. When I disable the extension it returns to lighting fast speed.

This Normally works great - but there are some issues causing my browser to freeze up hard when watching videos now. It was probably an update on YouTube's end - but hoping the creators of this plugin fix it soon!

with this enabled, most videos wont play, the page loads with paused video but when i click to resume it, it wont let me resume at all, i have to disable extension so i can watch some videos...

Dear Creator, the "Blacklist" feature isn't working! I clicked "Add to Blocklist," but the channel and its videos are still displayed even after refreshing.

New features must be added due to YouTube's changes. - "Always on Progress bar" problem (the dot still shows after the cursor is moved away). - Fix the videos, posts, and shorts row and column (or customize the row and column choice because YouTube has gotten worse). For the time being, I believe that these two are the most crucial. The last update was in December 2024, which was 5 months ago. Are you still alive, Developer?

Doesn't come close to Tweaks For Youtube. And the UI is horrible.

I used to love the 'Improve YouTube!' ? extension — been a loyal user for many years straight. But lately, it’s been super buggy and kinda broke the whole vibe. Now, whenever I go to the “Videos” tab on any channel, the page just freezes, loads forever, and tanks my entire browser’s performance. The only way out is a full reload — major pain. Another annoying thing: when I resize the browser while watching a video, the video keeps playing, but everything else breaks. I can’t click anything. Whole page just glitches out. And sometimes, my settings don’t even load properly. The extension feels half-broken at this point. On top of that, it automatically pauses every video when I first click play, and also makes YouTube take longer to load in general after turning it on. I even tried enabling features one by one to troubleshoot, starting with the essential ones — still no fix. It sucks, but I had to disable it for now. I really miss using it. Please fix these issues or add an option to prevent all these bugs without slowing down the browser or the site.

why doesn't the reverse playlist reverse videos?

Really like the extension but when switching to dark theme the titles of the YT videos are in black and I cannot read them. Missing an option to change the font colours!!

I've been using the extension for a long time and had it's problems along the way and got fixed after a while and added some more features I never knew I needed. Recently I noticed that the last update was from December of 2024 and this got me concerned because I have been experiencing some issues with the extension way before that time. I noticed that there are times when the extension fails to function at first page load or reload missing my setting of having the player on theater (wide) mode straight away, or being able to use my shortcut of displaying stats without the usual right-click on video to select. And recently (some time probably after a few youtube updates introducing the new progress bar color gradient), the 'always show progress bar' feature (I use it to gauge my watch time without having to move the mouse and often times some videos doesn't even have a ending phase and goes straight to cut video); It has been failing to keep up with the played part of the video and taking roughly 2 seconds or moving the mouse to update scroll dot positioning. I tried another extension to see if can't be fixed and that extension worked and I can even change the positioning update speed. Another issue is the custom mini player; I can't drag or resize it. It's just a tiny box that is not even centered or edged at the top left part of the screen when scrolling down. I like how I used to read comments and still see from 'the prefered size' of the mini player properly; I still can but from like a large desktop icon size, on a 14" monitor... Hopefully those issues can be addressed soon because this has been my go to extension for customizing yt to almost be perfectly as I want it to be. Along with improve youtube, I have uboL & privacy badger running which I believe shouldn't cause problems with each other (and never have) but I'll mention it just in-case. Thanks!
